How old are your pipes?

Today, March 21st, a sudden construction project appeared in our neighborhood.

We Have A Stoplight (momentarily)!

Traffic at the corner of Moonstone and Rockgate came to three-way stoplight control as Tucson Water repaired what the job foreman reported as a 1-1/2-inch galvanized pipe that, after 70 years, just gave way.

They are, at 5 pm, already finishing up the work and traffic should be back to near normal this evening. Construction is dangerous, with big equipment and lots of trucks and signs. They ask that onlookers stay away, back behind the stop lights and barricades.

An inch-and-a-half seventy-year-old pipe gave up.
