Lee Alter Takes Over As Wes Miller Park Director
At the HVHOA Board of Directors Meeting last night, we were thrilled by the offer of Lee Alter to take over the job of managing Wes Miller Park. Alter, a long-time member and former director of our HOA, is also running for re-election on the board of the Hidden Valley Fire District (HVFD), in the November 3 General Election. The HVFD Board supervises the spending of the funds raised by the property taxes established in the district to fund our fire protection and first responder services, which are provided by Rural Metro Fire.
The Wes Miller Park is private park for the exclusive use of members of the Hidden Valley Homeowner’s Association (HVHOA). The park is a Nature Conservancy protected area, so no motorized vehicles are permitted past the parking area without approval. The Director coordinates activities in the park, and supervises maintenance of the park, working with County, State, Federal and non-governmental agencies to preserve and protect this valued resource, including the Sheriff, the Forest Service, and the Watershed Management Group. This includes coordinating access when HOA members want to use the park for their own private gatherings.
Lee can be contacted by email at WesMillerPark@HiddenValleyTucson.com, or by leaving a voicemail or text at 520-344-4823, our HVHOA number. Please contact him to coordinate park use, help with our picnics, or express a question or concern about the park. But treat him nice, folks! He’s only been doing this less than a day at this point. We want to keep him.
