Thoughts on a Picnic

Thoughts on a Picnic

, a note from Ilene Oliver, HVHOA secretary:

We will have a potluck picnic on Saturday, October 26th, 1-4 pm.  The entire neighborhood is invited.  Pete will not be serving up his delicious BBQ this time, so make sure to try some yummy recipes to share with friends and neighbors!

Mary Ann and Ben Jacobs were tasked with purchasing additional canopies and coolers for our picnic area. Therefore, we should all be more comfortable, rain or shine! Amber and Paul Leschak will be seeing that our new coolers are filled with water, sodas, beer and wine.

Thanks so much to them, and to Pete and Linda Cinquemani and Norie Nelson, and all those whose efforts have kept us going and made many past picnics possible.

It is now time for the rest of us to stand up and keep this wonderful tradition going. Arrive a half hour early and stay a half hour late if you can help set up and/or put away the picnic gear.

Plates, bowls, cups and utensils are being provided, along with the drinks. Bring yourselves, your family and maybe some games to play, or lounge chairs. Shady hats are always a good idea.

Remember:

  • Bring food enough to share.
  • Arrive early to help set up.
  • Have a great time!
