Reiterating Concern Regarding Feeding the Coyotes

One of our members asked that we post this:

Thank you to the homeowner who notified the HOA of seeing someone feeding raw chicken to the coyotes. This reassures my wife and I that we are not crazy, and we would also like to express our concerns about this situation. We live along the east side of Rockcliff Road and on two recent occasions our dog has sniffed out large pieces of raw chicken covered with dirt on our property. We have lived in the neighborhood for over 25 years and there has been a visible increase in coyotes in the last year or so. The coyotes walk through our property on a daily basis and their howling in the middle of the night often wakes us up. More importantly, what has been occurring represents a safety and health issue for homeowners and our pets. For good reason, intentionally feeding wildlife is against the law (Arizona Revised Statute 13-2927).
