Annual Meeting: Changes, Holes and Problem Solving
The 2026 Annual General Meeting of the members of the Hidden Valley Homeowner’s Association of Tucson took place on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 7 pm, at the Olivers’ home. This reporter (your Webmaster, Mike Oliver) was in attendance and what follows are my observations about the meeting, not any official record.
Change of Membership Director
The most important news was that Chandra Crisp was elected as our new Membership Director by unanimous voice vote. Donna Fullerton, who has been our primary contact point for our Membership for the past three years, has stepped down, and Chandra will now be taking over that role.
Donna’s tenure as Membership Director oversaw online forms, online payments, an online Membership Directory, two Roster publications and record-breaking membership levels every year.
Chandra, you may recall, coordinated the Neighborhood Street Clean Up earlier this year. She has always been an active member and has already been a significant impact on our community.
Chandra, Welcome. Donna, Thank you. It is a pleasure to be neighbors with such good folks.
VP, PostMaster Still Holes To Be Filled
We still have the positions of Vice-President and PostMaster still to fill.
Our Vice-President is the face of our association to our community. So, in addition to backing up the President, of course, the Vice-President also talks with neighbors about neighborhood issues — noise, visuals, or nuisances — so, we need someone who knows how to listen and guide, to help neighbors find ways to live together in a neighborly way. Usually, not much to do. But the VP position is key to our service to this community.
The PostMaster will work with our WebMaster, posting messages on our website. If and when a PostMaster feels confident, that person can then take over as WebMaster, So if you ever wanted to run your own website, this is your chance!
For either position, written to us at info@hiddenvalleytucson.com, or voicemail or text us at 520-344-4823.
HOA Directors Solving Problems
The rest of the meeting was a wonderful report of the problems being solved by Board Members, working alone and together to solve issues. For example, our new Social Action Director, Carol Ellick, has inventoried the storage shed at the park and created instructions sheets to help folks unload and reload the contents. Working with Lee Alter, our Wes Miller Park Director, Carol is also working to acquire a recycle bin for the park.
Meanwhile, Richard Flores, our FireWise Director, has acquired safety gear to give to the young man who cleans up along Sabino Canyon Road. Richard also coordinates our FireWise inspections, and has obtaned new signage stating that we are a certified FireWise Neighborhood.
Webmaster/DataManager Mike Oliver is also working to solve a problem: currently our online Membership Directory, and all other services requiring logging in, are down. An internet security issue threatened the site. We appear safe, but had to disable a module key to our membership security. It will likely be a couple months to find a fix.
