Help Wanted: YOU
Your HOA Board of Directors has some vacancies to fill:
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Social Director
Positions are a 3 year commitment, but they have been known to last from 6 months to 20 years, so there’s plenty of flexibility in there. Please email Felix Gafner, President@HiddenValleyTucson.com if you might be interested in helping out.
The Vice President fills in when the President is not available, and also handles internal communications with our neighborhood. Sometimes neighbors just need someone to let us know when something we are doing is a bother to someone else. The Vice President helps us to understand each other. If you have a knack for working things out with people, this may be the post for you.
The Secretary records and reports the minutes of our Board Meetings. Can you take notes and make sense of them later enough to write a clear narrative of what happens in our meetings? This may be the job for you. The Secretary also keeps track of the when and where of each meeting and what tasks and commitments we have outstanding.
The Social Director coordinates our events: Picnics, Holiday Parties, Saturday Night Socials, Game Days, and Meet-on-the-Street gatherings, as well as Clean-Up Days, Food Collections and social actions. Are you one who can call folks and get them to commit to showing up with the goods, pulling together our diverse neighborhood into a community? Are the chairs there? The sodas? The announcements out? The menu settled? Project Managers are the folks we are looking for. Step up and help!
