Fall Swamp Cooler Shutdown Calendar
Hi Hidden Valley HOA team,
I saw your September Water Matters post, which points neighbors to Tucson Water’s new “Landscape Irrigation by the Numbers” booklet. Here’s a related resource for the house itself, timed for this time of year.
Our Tucson swamp cooler calendar lays out the three times a year a roof cooler needs attention: spring start-up, a check before monsoon, and fall shutdown in October and November. The fall steps are simple: shut off and drain the supply line, drain the pan, dry the pads and fit a cover. Most cooler-related ceiling leaks trace back to a skipped step. It also includes University of Arizona Cooperative Extension water-use figures:

Would you consider a short post or a mention with the link, alongside Water Matters? It’s free.
For transparency: we’re a dispatch line that connects homeowners with licensed local restoration companies. We don’t do the work ourselves.
