- January 2014 NewsletterDear Neighbors: On behalf of the Hidden Valley Board of Directors we want to wish you all a healthy and happy 2014. In November we had another fun Wine Sharing evening at the home of Vince Schantz and Pat Packard. It was a beautiful, starry Tucson night. In December our progressive dinner drew enough interest that we had a waiting list. Thanks to our hosts: Christine and Eric Stern, Sharon Hesterlee and Scott Marchand and Barbara and George Faltico. A guest from out of town commented about the warmth and friendliness of the folks in our neighborhood. Such a great way to usher in the holidays. Later in December a small but vocal group caroled for a few hours and then capped off the night with the “after party” at the Kuzmas. Included in this newsletter is a calendar of social events and monthly board of directors meetings. To highlight upcoming events Wine Sharing is January 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 at Pete Cinquemani’s – 4535 N Rockcliff. Bring a bottle of wine to share and one for you plus your favorite appetizer. Call Social Director Pat Packard at 638-6248 to reserve a place. January’s Board of Director meeting is Monday, January 27 at 7 pm at Vince Schantz and Pat Packard’s – 5120 N Siesta. All members of the Hidden Valley HOA are encouraged to attend. If you have been saving up treasures you can finally part with then contact Laura Kuzma for the HVHOA Garage Sale February 22 and 23 at kuzmaaz@comcast.net. Laura runs ads in local publications and will also have an addresses of all participants to distribute. A few artists are also planning to participate. We appreciate those of you who are complying with the CC&R’s by submitting your plans for remodeling, fencing or other architectural changes to your property. As a reminder all of us who live in any of the subdivisions of HV are subject to the regulations outlined in the CC&R’s. You must submit your proposed changes to Sharon Hesterlee who chairs the Architectural Review committee. County zoning is also Required, but separate from the HV architectural review. Sharon’s email is shesterlee@hotmail.com. We know you love your pets, but others don’t enjoy their mess. Please pick up after your animals. Jacqueline Chu Montel is hosting a meeting for all Neighborhood Watch Block Leaders and anyone who is or might be interested in becoming a Block Leader. The meeting is scheduled for 6:00pm on Thursday, January 23rd at 4711 North Sandstone Place. Jacqueline also has plans for an informative evening at the annual Neighborhood Watch meeting with a representative from the Pima County Sheriff ’s department. See the attached Social Events Calendar for details. Jacqueline’s email is JacquelineC@longrealty.com. See you in the neighborhood. Norie Nelson President, Hidden Valley Homeowner Association
